Well time is getting short now before me and Huckleberry Finbarr Ó Driscoll here want to go sailing again. I'm absolutely up the walls getting the charter boat ready as she'll be launched in the next week, so once thats out of the way I will get properly stuck in again with Teal, Planning on having her in the water in 4 weeks time, 5 tops.

Mast transport
I meant to get some pics of the mast arriving but I was too busy talking, Ken got a few as they were collecting it. More than capable transport I reckon. Thanks for that John

Mast arrived
I spent today at the yard instead of yesterday as the weather was better, A friend of ours offered to move the mast on his low loader so Ken and he collected it from my shed and brought it to the yard. It was far safer looking than any other way I had envisaged moving it. So the two are now together but I still need to fit the hardware on the mast.
I fitted a new limpet for the transducer and fitted the transducer in place as well, and finally I fitted the stem plate which I have been waiting a long time to do.

Nav lights
Well what do you do when the kids have you up at the crack of dawn and you can't leave the house ?
Find something that can been done inside. Finally got the nav lights restored. I bought some cheap LED
ones for the Boy Scott last year so I have used them as donors for the leds and lenses. Teals ones are far more valuable and I can replace the other ones easily. Really pleased with the way they have turned out.

| They had been fitted with an LED when Andy Rankin took her to the Baltic but now contained no lenses and various bugs and a wasp. |
| Anyone what to buy a big Francis search light ? |

Coffee
The weather has been fantastic for the past week so I've had to take the opportunity to get fiberglass work done on the other boat which has meant getting very little done on Teal.
I did take the time to prime and undercoat the stem and today there was a little rain for the first time since we've taken the tent down, so I gave the deck bit of a scrub while it was wet and got 8 or 9 months of grime off of it, Now its lovely and white again.
I needed a source of coffee at lunch today so I managed to find all the required items around the place and used the stove in Teal ( which has yet to be fitted ) and had my first cuppa on board.

Bowsprit envy ?
Finished off the top of the stem yesterday and test fitted the bowsprit, then I finished shaping the cut water and fitted the gammon iron. Now it needs painting and the bronze stem plate can be fitted. I should probably leave it as the last piece like a VW badge but its close enough.
